Residential Structure Fire

On March 23rd, 2024 at approximately 00:15 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 9581 E. Grand Place in Greenwood Village. Engine 31 arrived on scene and observed smoke showing from the roof. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire in the attic above the garage. Crews were on scene about forty five minutes extinguishing the fire, checking for extension and ventilating the building. One resident was checked out my medics at the scene but not transported to a local hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
