West Metro Residential Structure Fire

At 11:40 on December 29th, 2024 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a possible residential structure fire the 10600 block of W. Layton Place in Jefferson County. Jeffcom advised that caller reporting heavy smoke from the roof with no flames visible. Rescue 10 arrived to a small two-story residential structure with smoke coming out of the eves and pulled 1 3/4 for fire attack with Medic 10. Engine 12 pulled a 2nd back-up line and Medic 12 assigned with medical. Crews found fire in the basement area that was put under control quickly. No injuries and the cause is under investigation.
