West Metro Kitchen Fire

At 20:10 on June 27th, 2024 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 1600 block of S. Yukon Ct. in Lakewood. Jeffcom advised that 911 caller reporting smoke from the attic space. Engine arrived to a small single-family home with light smoke showing from the attic, pulled 1 3/4 for fire attack with Medic 8 and Tower 8 started the primary search. District 2 arrived and took command in the offensive strategy. Crews search the attic and found no fire but did find the source of the smoke with an electrical issue in the kitchen ceiling which was quickly put under control.
