Parker Yuma Place Structure Fire

On March 16th, 2024 at approximately 14:00 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 17044 Numa Place in Parker. Dispatch advised responding units that the homeowner reported a fire in the basement. Tower 45 arrived on scene within minutes of the call and found smoking showing from a multi-story single family residence. Crews were on scene over an hour working to extinguish the fire, checking for extension and ventilating the building. Firefighters were forced to battle the fire defensively as it burned through the basement ceiling to the first floor. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
