Rocky Ford South 9th Street Structure Fire

On April 2nd, 2024 at approximately 08:05 Rocky Ford Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the 600 block of S. 9th St. Rocky Ford firefighters arrived on scene and observed heavy smoke and fire coming from a single family residence. Mutual aid was requested from the La Junta Fire Department and Manzanola Fire Protection District. No injuries were reported. The home suffered extensive damage and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
