North Metro Airport Accident
On June 17th, 2024 at 08:44 Broomfield Public Safety Communications Center dispatched North Metro Fire Rescue District to an incident at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport when a driver in a pickup truck crashed through an airport fence and significantly damaged two unoccupied planes before coming to a stop at a guardrail near the airport’s perimeter. The driver was transported to the hospital for further medical attention with no other injuries. The incident is under investigation.
