Sable Altura Mobile Home Fire

On April 20th, 2024 at 19:01 Sable Altura Fire Rescue responded to a smoke investigation in the Foxridge Farms Mobile Home Community, 26900 E. Colfax Ave. Dispatch upgraded the call to a working residential structure fire for the I-70 corridor with 911 caller reporting the kitchen on fire. Engine 41 and Medic 41 arrived to a confirmed working fire in a mobile home structure and pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack and the primary search. Engine 41 secured their own water supply and Chief 41 arrived and assumed command. Engine 92 arrived and assigned to assist with the water supply. Firefighters found fire in the kitchen area which was put out quickly and the rest of the response was cancelled. Crews found a missing dog hiding under a bed. Fire medics helped the dog with some oxygen via a special oxygen mask. No injuries were reported and all residents were safely evacuated. The cause is under investigation.
