Smoky Hill Fatal MVA with Extrication

On June 10th, 2024 at approximately 11:30 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Smoky Hill Rd. at the intersection of Piccadilly St. South Metro Fire Emergency Communications Center advised responding units that extrication was needed and a nurse on scene reported a possible DOA. Crews were on scene approximately 30 minutes extricating multiple parties and treating several patients prior to transport. One person was killed and four others were injured as a result of the crash. Westbound Smoky Hill Rd. was closed for about two hours while law enforcement completed their investigation.
