Sterling Mobile Home Fire

At 16:30 on December 23rd, 2024 Sterling Emergency Communications Center (SECC) dispatched Sterling Fire Protection District to a mobile home fire in the 1000 block of N. 7th St. Fire 1 arrived on scene reporting a working fire with fire showing from multiple locations. The first due engine arrived shortly after and deployed multiple lines to the front of the trailer. Search and attack teams made entry and met heavy fire conditions coming from the rear of the trailer. The recall crews arrived and layed a supply line to Engine 10, and command requested additional manpower from  Merino Fire Department. Crews pushed down the hallway and located the seat of the fire. The search team completed their search and crews transition to overhaul. Crews spent another hour opening up void spaces and extinguishing hot spots.
