On May 27th 2024 the Western Hills Fire Protection District held an open house at 1731 Cedar Ave. The Western Hills Fire Protection District has been in service for 50 years, founded in 1974 and still in existence today! They currently contract their service with the City of Greeley to provide fire protection services. The Greeley Fire Department leases the building from the WHFPD for storing reserve equipment and apparatus. The station currently holds the a Foam Trailer, Mobile Command Truck and Trailer, Emergency Management Truck and Trailer, and a Reserve Engine.
