Westminster 2nd Alarm Fire

On December 17th, 2024 at 17:36 Westminster Fire Department and Adams County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 3006 W. 72nd Ave.  Engine 1 arrived on scene to heavy fire conditions on the Delta side with a fully involved fence extending into the structure, established their own water supply and pulled a pre-connect for fire attack with Medic 1. Engine 12 was assigned with search on the first unit to the east and checked for extension. Battalion 1 arrived and assumed command in the Dollar Tree parking lot. A second alarm was called at 17:51 due to fire conditions. Fire extended to multiple adjacent units through the shared attic space and void spaces in the walls. One occupant was inside the structure at the time of the fire and was evacuated with no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injures were reported.
