West Metro Deck Fire

At 02:44 on October 27th, 2024 West Metro Fire Rescue and Arvada Fire Protection District was dispatched to the 3300 block of Chase St. in Wheat Ridge for a structure fire. Engine 16 arrived to a small single-story single-family with a working fire from the deck on the Charlie side and pulled 1 3/4 attack line. District 1 arrived and assumed command. Crews found fire on the back patio which was quickly extinguished and the rest of the response was cancelled. Although the heat broke the kitchen window, there was no extension into the residence. One door and one window were damaged at the rear of the home and needed to be boarded up. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
