West Metro Kitchen Fire

On April 25th, 2024 at 15:58 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure in the 3100 block of Wadsworth Blvd. in Wheat Ridge. Engine 16 arrived to a working fire on the Delta side of small single-story single-family home, pulled 1 3/4 for fire attack. Engine 1 established the water supply to Engine 16 and Engine 17 started the primary search. District 1 arrived and took over command in the offensive strategy and assigned Medic 11 with medical. Crews got the fire out in the kitchen area quickly without extension. Wheat Ridge Police Department closed down northbound Wadsworth Blvd, at W. 29th Ave. during the incident for the supply line.
