Denver Outside Fire

At 08:21 on August 25th, 2021 Denver Fire Department Engine 20 was alerted to a possible outside fire in the 500 block of Raritan Way in Baker. Engine 20 arrived to heavy smoke showing from the back of a large commercial structure and requested to fill the group for a working commercial structure fire. Engine 20 found heavy fire from a large homeless encampment in the back of building, and with the long hose lay they used a relay pump. Crews got the fire quickly out without extension into the occupied warehouse, and crews started overhaul and the investigation. The cause of fire is unknown and no injuries were reported.
