Aurora 2nd Alarm Fire

On July 22, 2024 at approximately 22:30 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report of a kitchen fire in the 700 block of Fraser St. in the Chamber Heights neighborhood. Ladder 8 arrived on the scene with the two-story 3 unit duplex fully engulfed. Battalion 1 upgraded the working response to a second alarm for additional resources. Units made a quick attack on the fire and performed search of the units. A family dog was treated and transported for smoke inhalation. A total of 20 residents were displaced and assisted by American Red Cross. Aurora Police Department assisted with traffic control. The cause of fire is under investigation.
