Adams County Semi-Trailer / Trash Fire
On August 7th, 2025 around 11:50 Adams County Fire Rescue responded to a trash fire involving a semi-trailer on Fox St. at W. 53rd Place in North Washington. Truck 11 arrived to a trash fire and put their stick up for fire control with the master stream to the semi-trailer and pulled a 1 3/4 for for control on the trash fire. Engine 14 arrived and secured the water supply to Truck 11. The fire is believed to have been caused by an ember from a nearby brush fire, which ignited recyclable materials being hauled to a recycling facility. The driver of the semi was moved to a remote location where it was offloaded with the burning contents preventing further damage. Command requested the train tracks to be shut down during the fire operations. No injuries were reported. Denver Fire Department also responded to the fire but was cancelled on scene.
