South Adams Storage Container Fire

At 04:38 on October 23rd, 2025 South Adams County Fire Department, Thornton Fire Department and Platte Valley Ambulance responded to a possible commercial structure fire in the 8300 block of Brighton Rd. in Derby. Adcom 911 advised that the fire was possibly in a shipping container with multiple callers. Tower 24 arrived and pulled an attack line in and had to force entry into the property. Engine 22 easbalished the water supply from E. 84th Ave. & Brighton Rd. Battalion 21 arrived and assumed command. The fire was contained quickly to one storage container and the rest of the response was cancelled. No injuries and the fire is being investigated.
