West Metro Mobile Home Fire

On Saturday, December 27th, 2025 at 13:48 West Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a structure fire in the 1400 block of Allison St. at the Lakewood Village Mobile Home Park in Lakewood. Engine 1 enroute reported smoke from the station and Jeffcom 911 reported a working trailer fire with black smoke and staring in the in the trees and spreading to a near by trailer. Engine 1 arrived to a fully involved small single-story mobile home and pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack and the search with Medic 1. Engine 3 established the water supply with Medic 11 assisting. District 1 arrived and assumed command and requested Xcel to the scene. The fire was put under control at 13:57. The occupants of the home were able to exit the structure safely. No damage to adjacent homes and a pickup truck was also heavily damaged by the fire. WMFR investigators claim that a cell phone left on a charger was the suspected cause of the fire.
