Commerce City Fairfax Drive Fire

At approximately 20:45 on January 28th, 2026 South Adams County Fire Department Engine 23 outside smoke investigation in the E. 70th Ave. and Holly St. in Commerce City. Engine 23 arrived to the area to a fully involved recreational vehicle camper that posed a significant threat to adjacent campers and vehicles and the call was upgraded to a working structure fire. Engine 23 pulled a line in for fire attack and tried to find access into the property and Engine 22 arrived and pulled another line in. Battalion 21 arrived and took over command in the offensive strategy and requested a major incident tone. Crews were able to get access off E. 70th Ave. and extinguished the fire quickly including the RV with several vehicles and preventing any further damage to nearby structures and a fence. No reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by South Adams County Fire Department
