Poudre Mobile Home Fire

On January 20th, 2026 around 11:40 Fort Collins 911 dispatched Poudre Fire Authority and UC Health EMS to a structure fire in the 400 block of N. Timberline Rd. at the Collins Aire Mobile Home Park. Engine 10 arrived to a working fire from a single-wide mobile home and pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack. Engine 6 arrived and assigned to pulled a 2nd line, Engine 1 secured the water supply to Engine 10 and Tower 1 with the primary search. Battalion 1 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy. Crews worked active fire underneath, inside and on the roof of the structure before getting the fire under control and starting work on an extensive overhaul. One deceased cat was found underneath the trailer. No injuries were reported. PFA fire investigators determined that the fire was caused by the improper disposal of smoking materials which started inside the manufactured home then fell through the floor where it received a fresh oxygen source and grew quickly.
