Cimarron Hills 2nd Alarm Fire

At 16:03 on March 24th, 2026 the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched Cimarron Hills Fire Department and Falcon Fire Protection District to the 1200 block of Cree Drive in Cimarron Hills for a possible structure fire. On scene, crews arrived to a 6-plex apartment building with heavy smoke showing from one of the units and requested a 2nd alarm. The fire was quickly knocked down and isolated to the unit of origin. No injuries were reported, but a family of 8 was displaced from their home. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
