Training Academy Wildland Day

The East Metro Fire Training Academy class held a wildland training on June 6th, 2026. including intense and detailed training operations within a calculated and controlled environment with the academy. Colorado is forecasted to be subject to extreme fire weather conditions this year, and it’s critical that we’re prepared, and have trained for it. Aurora Fire Rescue also was part of the training. This year the academy has recruits from Byers Fire Protection District,  North Central Fire Protection District, Sable Altura Fire Rescue and Strasburg Fire Protection District. The group is expected to graduate on August 9th, 2026.
