Denver Defensive Attic Fire
On August 5th 2026 around 19:30 Denver Fire Department responded to a single-family residential structure fire in the 5100 block of N. Netherland St. in Green Valley Ranch. Crews arrived to heavy fire from the second-story deck on the Charlie side that was extending into the attic. Due to the heavy fire involvement and deteriorating conditions, crews transitioned into a defensive strategy upon arrival as a portion of the roof collapsed and a 2nd alarm was requested. Firefighters used multiple master streams to bring the fire under control before transitioning to overhaul. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
