Arvada Safety Day

Arvada Fire Protection District held their annual Safety Day on September 26th, 2026 at the Training Center, 6651 Indiana St. The community was invited to enjoyed fun activities including fire apparatus tours, first responders, wildfire mitigation, auto extrication, demonstrations, hands-only CPR, bike safety, MedEvac landing and more. Colorado Division of Fire Prevention & Control, Friends of Arvada Fire, Arvada Police Department, Dave’s Locker, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson County Communications Center Authority (JeffCom 911), Jefferson County Open Space Park Ranger, American Red Cross, Arvada Community Emergency Response Team (Arvada CERT), 5280Fire, Wheat Ridge Police Department and others were on hand with interactive safety booths and information about safety and emergency preparedness. One lucky winner and her family won the 5280Fire ‘Fire Monkey’ mascot giveaway and “Fire Monkey” was transported to be hand delivered to the new owners later that afternoon.
