Jeffco Sheriff Open House On May 30th, 2003 the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office held an open house at 200 Jefferson County Parkway in Golden with Jefferson County Sheriff K-9, Animal Control, Bomb Squad, Mounted Patrol and SWAT. Jefferson County Open Space Park Rangers, Golden Fire Department and Alpine Rescue Team also participated in the event.
Hayman Fire The Hayman Fire was reported on June 8th, 2002 which consumed 133 structures and burned 137,760 acres across Teller, Douglas, Jefferson, and Park counties with 5,340 people being evacuated.
