Gypsum Fire Protection District, founded in 1911 and covering 185 square miles in Eagle & Garfield Counties (Colorado) including the areas of Blowout Hill, Blue Hill, Buckhorn Valley, Cease Creek, Chatfield Corners, Colorado River, Colorado River Ranch, Cooley Mesa, Cotton Pass, Cotton Ranch, Cottonwood Creek, Deep Creek, Dotsero, Dotsero State Wildlife Area, Dry Lake, Duck Pond Open Space, Eagle River, Eagle River Estates, Gruner Creek, Gypsum, Gypsum Ponds State Wildlife Area, Hack Creek, Hardscrabble Gulch, Indian Heights, Irrawaddy, Lyons Gulch, Onion Ridge, Range, Red Hill, Riland Creek, Rising Star, Sheep Creek, Stratton Flats, Sundell, Sweetwater, Sweetwater Creek, Sweetwater Lake, Tucker Draw, Two Rivers, Ute Trail, Vicksburg & Willowstone.
