Arvada Apartment Fire

At 07:35 on August 26th, 2018 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a possible structure fire in the 8500 block of W. 54th Ave. Engine 51 arrived on scene to a 3-story apartment building, pulled a 45 load to the 2nd floor for search rescue and fire control. Battalion 51 arrived on scene and assumed command in the offensive strategy. Engine 52 established a water supply to Engine 51, Tower 56 arrived and assigned to search the the Alpha & Bravo exposures. Engine 51 found a small fire and a rescued a victim inside, Medic 51 assisted with the patient. Command requested a additional medic to the scene, and Medic 51 transported one patient to a local hospital. Fire was put out at 07:51 and the cause of the fire is under investigation, no other injuries were reported.
