Aurora Structure Fire

April 4th, 2018 at 7:42 Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 15241 E. Radcliffe Dr. with Dispatch advising units that multiple 911 calls reporting flames showing. Engine 6 arrived on scene to a single family single story residential with heavy smoke showing on the alpha side and roof. Engine 6 pulled a 1 ¾ line to a fire in the backyard and a 2nd line inside the house, and Engine 10 secured a water supply to Engine 6. Battalion 2 arrived and assumed command and request additional engine, Truck 6 split crews: primary search and vertical ventilation. Engine 10 assigned garage division and check the attic space for extension. Crews got a quick knock on the fire and put the fire under control with overhaul at 8:10. 1 resident was treated and released on scene with minor injuries and the fire is under investigation.
