Longmont Emergency Unit

Longmont Emergency Unit (LEU), formed in 1957 and located in Boulder County (Colorado).

LEU was activated June 26th of 1957, is a volunteer search and rescue group that supports fire departments and law enforcement in Longmont and Boulder County and the surrounding communities. 

LEU is capable of assisting with emergency incident response, searches, traffic-crowd control for active scenes, medical standby for special-private events, fire support services, air cascade, extrications, rehab operations, missing person searches, crime scene lighting-power, dive rescue, ice water rescue, swift water – dive rescue ops rescue, animal rescue, and evidence searches as in metal detectors including ground and in water.

Longmont Emergency Unit (3000) is dispatched by Boulder County Communications.
