Nederland Fire Protection District

Nederland Fire Protection District (NFPD), founded in 1913 and covering 56 square miles in Boulder County (Colorado) including the areas of Barker Reservoir, Beaver Valley, Bonanza Mountain Estates, Boulder Canyon, Canyonside, Caridinal, Caribou, Caribou City, Cold Spring, Eldora, Falls Pointe, Happy Valley, High Park, Hurricane Hill, Klondike Mountain, Lake Eldora, Peak to Peak Highway, Ridge, Ridgewood, St. Anton Highlands, Sugarloaf, Tungsten & University of Colorado Observatory. The Western boundary of the district is Continental Divide, the Eastern boundary is roughly 31.5-mile marker of Boulder Canyon, the Northern is 1/8th mile north of Sugarloaf Rd. (the first 1-1 1/2 miles of Sugarloaf Rd. is part of the District. However, there is a joint response area where both Nederland Fire and Sugar Loaf Fire Protection District respond to roughly 10 thru 6 mm of Sugarloaf Rd. The Southern Boundary is just north of Hwy. 72 (Coal Creek Canyon) and about the first 1 mile of Magnolia Rd. 

Nederland Fire Protection District is part of Boulder County Hazmat Authority.
