Glendale Volunteer Fire Department (Colorado) was formed in 1960. (Department Wildland Identifier: CO-GLDX)

In 1974, the first paid Glendale firemen were hired. 

In 2004 Glendale Fire Department merged with Denver Fire Department.

Glendale Fire Department also went by the Glendale Fire/Rescue.

Glendale Fire Department was a member of the Tri-County Volunteer Firemen’s Association.
