Vail Station 1
Station 1 – East Vail
Fire Station 1 is located at 4116 Columbine Dr. The station was built in 1981 and was renovated by Pierce Austin Architects in in 2016.
ENGINE 1
2022 Pierce Enforcer (36715) 1500 GPM pump, 500 gallon water tank and 20 gallons of foam (Husky 3). Former Engine 2.
BRUSH 1

Fire Station 1 shown here at the current location on Columbine Drive with the older bay doors and paint. The station was built in 1981 and was renovated in in 2016.
LADDER 1
1971 Mack CF (CF611FA-1376) / Maxim 100′ mid-mount ladder, refurbished later and changed to an 85 foot. Became Aerial 431 at Station 2.
ENGINE 413
1985 Pierce Dash 4×4 (E-2693) 1500 GPM pump, 400 gallon water tank and 25 gallons of foam.
ENGINE 1
1998 Pierce Arrow 4×4 (EC023) 1500 GPM pump, 500 gallon water tank and 25 gallons of foam. Became Chaffee County Fire Protection District (Colorado) Engine 2 and Nederland Fire Protection District (Colorado) Engine 5602.
BRUSH 2-1
2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4×4 / Wildfire Skid Type 6 125 GPM pump, 200 gallon water tank and 12 gallons of foam.
ENGINE 1
(E413) 2011 Pierce Arrow XT 4×4 (23901) 1500 GPM (Pierce PUC) pump, 500 gallon water tank and 30 gallons of foam, also ran as Engine 2 and a reserve engine.
AERIAL 430
1990 Pierce Arrow 4×4 (E5378) 77′ rear-mount ladder 1500 GPM pump, 300 gallon water tank and 20 gallons of foam. Became Ladder 1 and refurbished by Pierce (F5799) in 2007. Became Oak Creek Fire Protection District (Colorado) Truck 841.
