Fire Station 2 is located at 300 E. Poplar St. and is shared with the Prowers County Rural Fire Department (Colorado) Station 1 and Lamar Ambulance Station 2. The City of Lamar and Prowers County entered into a joint venture to construct and share this station.

2016 Pierce Saber (27290) 75′ rear-mount heavy-duty aerial ladder 1500 gpm pump (Hale) and 500 gallon water tank.

(Pumper-Tanker) 2001 International / Smeal 1250 gpm pump and 1000 gallon water tank. Part of the Prowers County Rural Fire Department.

2014 Ford F-450 4×4 / Weis QA300TM (14-365) Type 6 with a Darley 2.5 AGE pump, UPF Defender 2 300-gallon skid-unit and 12-gallon foam cell, twin to Prowers County Rural Fire Department (Colorado) Unit 6527. Part of the Prowers County Rural Fire Department.
ENGINE 5
2019 Freightliner M2-106 4×4 / Pierce Wildland Type III (33001) with a 1000 gpm pump (Darley) and 500 gallon water tank with foam (Husky).
HAZ-MAT 1
1994 Chevy Silverado 2500 4×4. Former Colorado State Patrol and purchased in 2000. Part of the Prowers County Rural Fire Department.
WATER RESCUE
