Divide Fire Protection District

Divide Fire Protection District (DFPD), covering 99 square miles in Teller County (Colorado) including the areas of Arabian Acres, Aspen Moors, Aspen Village, Broken Wheel Village, Cedar Mountain Ranch, Colorado Ranch, Colorado Woodland Estates, Cougar Canyon Estates, Elk Valley, Golden Bell Nazarene Ranch, Grandview Estates, Highland Lakes, Lazy M Ranch, Meadow Park, Mueller State Park. Pine Bluff, Pike National Forest, Rainbow Valley, Shadow Lake Estates, Sherwood Forest Estates, Shoemaker, Skycrest, Spring Valley, Trout Haven, Twin Rocks, Ute Lakes & Woodrock. (FDID #11915)

Divide-Florissant Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1949. In 1989 the Divide/Florissant Fire Protection District was established as two fire departments/ one covering Divide and the other covering Florissant. In 2000 both divided into two departments: Divide Fire Protection District and the Florissant Fire Protection District.

Divide Fire Protection District has auto-aid and / or mutual-aid agreements with Cripple Creek Fire Department, Cripple Creek  & Victor (CC&V) Mine Rescue Team, 4 Mile Fire Protection District & Florissant Fire Protection District.
