Silverton EMS is located in San Juan County (Colorado) and covering 388 square miles.

Silverton EMS & Mountain Rescue is part of the San Juan County Search and Rescue with incident types ranging from everyday lift-assists and cardiovascular compromises to backcountry motor vehicle accidents and alpine rescues, our personnel must be ready to respond to and manage an uncommon range of scenarios. While the two agencies must remain separate on the books, we treat them functionally as one in the same.
