Station 1 Grand Reopening / Merging Ceremony

On July 30th, 2022 the Donald-Wescott Fire Protection District and Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Protection District celebrated the reopening of their Station 1 after two years of renovations to expand the fire station’s living quarters, kitchen, workout room, training room, and offices. In addition to celebrating the reopening of the station, the presidents of the two fire districts sat down and signed the contract merging the districts into one under a new name. At 11:22 on July 30th, 2022 the Monument Fire Protection District was formed. The Colorado Springs Fire Department, Palmer Lake Fire Department, Monument Police Department, and El Paso County Emergency Incident Support also attended the celebration.
