Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District

Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District (SRFPD), established in 1954 and covering 52 square miles in Columbus County (Oregon) including the areas of Chapman, Holbrook, Multnomah Channel & Warren.

Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District was originally founded in 1915 as the Scappoose Fire Department. In 1979 a vote for a consolidation with the Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District was held and passed, both City of Scappoose Fire Department and the Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District merged to become the Scappoose Rural Fire Protection District in 1980.
