Aurora Polar Plunge

The annual Aurora Polar Plunge was held at the Aurora Reservoir on March 29th, 2025 with the 5K run/walk. Hundreds came out for “Freezin’ for a Reason” to take a dip in the water which was a little warmer water temperature then in years past and also to take a check out many of the vendor booths. The event raised $192,000 from 2200 donations with proceeds that benefit Special Olympics Colorado. Aurora Police Department was one of the teams that represented the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR). Aurora Fire Rescue was on hand to ensure the event went off safely and Aurora Marshal, Falck, Aurora Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Rangers and others also participated in the event.
