Adams County Garage Fire

On July 7th, 2025 at 15:18 Adams County Fire Rescue and Westminster Fire Department responded to a possible garage fire in the 6600 block of Hooker St. in Berkley. Adcom 911 advised that 911 caller reporting that fire in a detached garage. Engine 12 arrived to a detached garage fully involved and pulled 1 3/4 for fire control to the Charlie side in the defensive strategy and secured their own water supply. Engine 11 and Medic 1 pulled a 2nd line for structure protection. Battalion 1 arrived, assumed command and assigned Engine 1 to secure their own water supply on and Irving St. and to pull their own attack line in. Engine 13 assisted Engine 1 on the Irving St. side and pulled a 2nd line in for fire attack on the second smaller separate living structure that was on fire. Crews advised that downed power lines in the alley and Xcel was requested. Truck 41 arrived and assigned to secured their own water supply with defensive operations. Crews rescued one family dog from the fire. The fire was put under control at 15:50 and crews worked on an extensive overhaul. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
