South Adams Vehicle Fire

On August 12th, 2025 after 14:00 South Adams County Fire Department Tower 24 responded to a vehicle fire in the 7900 block of Niagara St. in Dupont. Adcom 911 advised that 911 caller reporting the vehicle is on fire underneath a carport and catching it on fire with smoke inside the residents and the call was upgraded to a structure fire response. Tower 24 arrived to a working fire from a single vehicle under a car port and has not extended into the main structure and pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack. Crews got the fire under control quickly with no extension and damage to the home. The fire cause is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
