Adams County Trash Pile Fire

On March 14th, 2025 around 13:50 Adams County Fire Rescue responded to a trash pile fire at a recycling plant at 5350 Washington St. Engine 11 arrived to heavy fire from debris and pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack. Medic 13 arrived and assisted with the water supply and Battalion 11 assumed command and requested a major incident tone. Crews coordinated with facility workers to break down the piles and attack the flames. The fire was extinguished in just over an hour with no injuries or structures lost. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Additional information provided by Adams County Fire Rescue
