Aurora Structure Fire

On February 23th, 2025 at approximately 23:10 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 19019 E. Chenango Drive. Engine 10 arrived on scene and found heavy fire on coming from the front of a two-story single-family residence. Firefighters were on scene over ninety minutes extinguishing the fire, checking for extension and mopping up. No injures were reported. The American Red Cross was called to assist four adults, two kids and a dog. An initial investigation determined the fire was caused by a mechanical issue in the family’s truck in the driveway, which had been parked for about an hour before the fire started. According to the homeowner, the truck had been operating normally with no signs of trouble prior to the incident. Additional information provided by Aurora Fire Rescue
