West Metro Vegetation Fire
On September 14th, 2025 at 13:35 West Metro Fire Rescue Engine 9 was dispatched to a vegetation fire at the Bear Creek Lake Campground. Jeffcom 911 advised of multiple callers reporting a large brush fire around the RV’s and the call was upgraded and then the call was upgraded to a structure fire with caller reporting possible structure involved. Engine 9 arrived on scene to a small vegetation fire that was controlled and extinguished by the Lakewood Park Rangers and the rest of the response was cancelled. Bystanders reportedly used buckets to start extinguishing fire, prior to any fire crews arriving. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
