Boulder Structure Fire

On January 5th, 2025 around 01:40 Boulder Police & Fire Communications (9100) dispatched Boulder Fire-Rescue Department to a structure fire at 1215 13th St. in University Hills. AMR 20 arrived to smoke and flames showing and the call was upgraded to a fill the box. Engine 2502 arrived on scene to a large three-story taxpayer structure with heavy smoke showing and pulled 1 3/4 for fire control in the offensive strategy. Tower 2516 went to the roof and Engine 2501 established the water supply to Engine 2502. Battalion 2570 arrived, assumed command and advised dispatch to strike a 2nd alarm. Crews worked heavy fire conditions and smoke from the attic area. Crews got the fire under control before 05:00. No injuries were reported. American Red Cross was requested for seven people that were displaced. The building was closed to businesses and residents while fire crews worked the fire and the investigation.
