South Metro Commercial Fire

At 10:47 on February 26th, 2025 South Metro Fire Rescue and West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire at Columbine High School, 6201 S. Pierce St. in unincorporated Jefferson County. Engine 13 arrived on scene with a exterior fire in the wood dust collector and started checking for extension and evacuations. The fire created a flash fire into the ventilation system of the school. Two firefighters are being evaluated on scene for minor injuries. Some students were also evaluated for medical needs.
