Denver Second Alarm Warehouse Fire

On January 26th, 2025 before 08:00 Denver Fire Department was dispatched by Denver Fire Communications Center to a commercial structure fire in the 1300 block of 40th St. at Walut St. in the River North Art District (RiNo). Crews arrived to heavy fire conditions from a warehouse and immediately got started locating and getting a knock on the fire. Fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm due to the volume of fire and potential collapse risk. Crews had to back out of the structure and switch to a defensive attack. One Firefighter was injured in this fire and was transported to area hospital in unknown condition. The fire was in a vacant warehouse and the second fire within a week. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by the Denver Fire Department.
