On May 7th, 2025 before 05:00 Denver Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire in the 6600 block of E. Dakota Ave. in the Washington Virginia Vale neighborhood. Crews arrived to a working fire from a single-story single-family home and started fire attack and the primary search. Firefighters worked in heavy smoke conditions inside the structure and found two victims that were rescued. The two civilian were fatalities. The fire was put under control and crews started work on the overhaul. The cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by Denver Fire Department
