Denver 2nd Alarm Structure Fire

Around 05:00 on January 3rd, 2025 Denver Fire Department responded to 1500 N. Hooker St. for reports of a structure fire. First arriving crews came on scene to heavy fire conditions coming from an abandoned multifamily structure. Crews worked heavy fire and started defensive operations and the call was upgraded to a 2nd alarm. The fire was knocked around 06:30 and crews remained on scene hitting hotspots and worked on overhaul. One patient was transported to a local hospital for smoke related injuries.
