Denver House Fire

On August 16th. 2025 around 19:15 Denver Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 500 block of Utica St. in the Barnum West neighborhood. Crews arrived to light smoke showing from a single-story single-family dwelling and started the fire attack and the search. Crews found fire in the kitchen and was able to mitigate the fire with no extension to the attic space. Firefighters rescued two dogs in the search, but unfortunately they did not make it. Crews completed venting the home before it was turned over to the owners. All civilians were accounted for and the cause is under investigation.
