West Metro Attic Fire

On June 28th, 2025 at 15:39 Jeffcom 911 dispatched West Metro Fire Rescue to a possible structure fire in the 5700 block of W. 5th Ave. in Lakewood. Engine 1 arrived on scene to a working attic fire in a one-story duplex, pulled 1 3/4 for fire attack and the primary search with Medic 1. Engine 3 supplied the water to Engine 1 and Medic 3 assigned as medical. District 1 arrived and assumed command and Tower 2 assigned with ventilation. Engine 2 and Engine 7 assisted with primary searches. The fire was put under control at 16:05 and crews started overhaul.  No one was reported injured and the cause is under investigation.
